The Rainbow Fish

July 16 – July 24
Saturday and Sunday at 1pm

Adapted by: Austin Zumbro
Directed by: Jenny Connors

With shiny, multi-colored scales, Rainbow Fish is the most beautiful fish in all of the ocean, and the only one of his kind.  But when Rainbow Fish refuses to share his vibrant, shimmering scales, the whole ocean seems to turn against the vain creature.  Unhappy that no one adores him anymore, the Rainbow Fish seeks out the wise Octopus, who helps him learn that it’s far better to be admired for being kind than for being beautiful.

With bubbly, energetic dialogue and a dynamic cast, this delightful musical for young audiences teaches that the joy of beauty is in sharing it with others.

Pee-Wee Series: Stone Soup

August 26 – September 11
Fridays at 4pm and Saturday and Sunday at 1pm

“Stone Soup” is a story that has been around for a very long time. Its origins are unknown, but it is likely to have come from Europe to America. Earlier versions of the story feature a beggar or travelers entering a village carrying a pot. They ask for food, and when they are turned away by the villagers, they build a fire, fill the pot with water and put a stone in it. The curious villagers come along and are intrigued by the concept of stone soup. One at a time, each villager adds an ingredient to the pot, eventually creating a delicious feast. It is a story about cooperation and generosity.
