Jeannie Larson
Musical Theatre Dance
Jeannie has been involved in the Performing Arts for more than 3 decades. She studied drama, dance and singing at USC, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Drama. She started her performance career after graduating in 1987, including a year in Japan and several years in New York and Las Vegas. She has performed in over 50 musicals and dance productions, including her favorite professional role as Bombalurina in the National Touring Company of Cats, and the 2021-22 season with the Hardwood Classics Dance Team for the NBA Golden State Warriors. For the past 15 years, she has been teaching dance, music and theater arts in Placer County, including directing and choreographing childrens theater productions. She founded Stars and Steps Dance and Music Company, starting several local drama clubs at elementary and middle schools, and also worked with the local theatre group Take Note Troupe (TNT) for high school level students. She is thrilled to share her passion and joy for theatre and dance and hopes to inspire a resilient, compassionate, kind, thoughtful and courageous students.

Linda “Lindy” Mallonee
Intro to Theatre: Bright Starts
Lindy holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from San Jose State and Santa Clara University and has accumulated many years of experience working with children. As the Director of Children’s Program at Santa Clara University, she was in charge of the annual holiday plays and productions. She specializes in acting, puppetry, children’s entertainment, character voices, storytelling and always… singing! She has performed on stages across the Bay Area and Sacramento regions.

Allen Schmeltz
Improv for Young People
Allen is an award-winning director, having directed over 80 productions, and was the founder and artistic director of the award-winning Garbeau’s Acorn & Oak Theatre for young people. For 17 years he has been an artistic associate, director, and teacher at Sutter Street Theatre. Allen has been teaching for over 20 years, including an ongoing improv workshop. His productions have received numerous awards and critical acclaim.
